These are our big, all-day marketing conferences, that we’ll be running annually in Plymouth, Exeter, and Bristol. Fantastic speakers, great workshops, and inspiring keynotes. What’s not to love? These are the South West’s biggest marketing events.

These are mini-conference events, that we’ll be running in Cornwall and Somerset in 2024. These will have the look and feel of the bigger Live events but will run for half a day rather than the full day. At these events, we’ll be concentrating more than ever on promoting the talent and the enormous breadth of experience and ability in the regions.

Does what it says on the tin! These are dinners, for Heads of Agencies, to meet, eat fantastic food, get to know each other, and discuss common challenges that agencies meet every year. We’ll run these 3 times a year, and we’ll always have a fixed number of places (25) so don’t wait too long to get them booked!

These are available to Marketing Managers, Heads of Marketing, Directors of Marketing, or any other types of senior marketing roles in a business. These will move around the region a bit, but essentially, we’ll have 2 speakers talking about something pretty important and useful that would help you to know about, followed by food on sharing platters and discussion/networking. Attendees will be from a wide range of different businesses and industries but often share a lot of the same challenges as each other. These will run 3 times a year and we will have a fixed number of places (30) to ensure that events are kept really useful for everyone attending. Marketing Managers will be invited to join our private Marketing Managers channel on our Building Brands Slack community, where you can carry on discussions in between forums.

Young marketers never get the opportunity to meet each other, network with each other, and find out about career progression. Rather than let that continue, we want to help you, and we’ll be organising a number of evening social events to let you meet and get to know each other a little better. A couple of these each year will also focus on how you can progress your career in marketing - essentially, what kind of things you need to do in order to help accelerate your career. We don’t think you should ever have to pay to come to an event like this, so where we can, we’ll keep them free and include a drink and some food!

It’s generally accepted that freelancers are fantastic at what they do. They have tons of marketing knowledge and experience, often have specialisms, and quickly become a great addition to your marketing team. But how many of you are confident and know all you need to know about the other things that come with running a business - legal structure, disputes, accounts, tax, and everything else besides? It’s not just business stuff either, a lot of freelancers are working parents. How do you or others manage to fit everything into a day - work, school runs, school holidays, your own skills, development, prospecting for work, etc. So, we'll be organising a Freelancer Festival, where you’ll get the opportunity to talk to and hear from experts who can help you, you’ll hear from other freelancers who are killing it, and will inspire you with their stories. This is something that we’re really looking forward to running because we genuinely think that it can really help a lot of you.

Having seen all the events above, we hope you agree that 2024’s already shaping up to be a pretty epic year for marketing in the South West!
